Jeffrey Bloom — TAA President

Jeffrey Bloom is a Thoroughbred industry veteran of more than 35 years. He was a professional jockey in addition to serving as a racing manager, marketing and media relations’ consultant, and broadcaster. During his nine-year riding career, Jeffrey raced at many of the major tracks throughout North America including his first race at Del Mar in front of a home town crowd having grown up in San Diego.

After retiring as a jockey, Jeffrey became the main workout rider for leading trainers that include Hall of Famer Charlie Whittingham where he was privileged to have worked out countless grade 1 winners that include 1989 Kentucky Derby winner Sunday Silence.

Following his riding career, Jeffrey earned a B.S. degree in financial services from San Diego State University and his business resume includes a successful venture in corporate business development in the software technology industry. Jeffrey founded and runs Bloom Racing Stable, LLC a fully integrated horse racing company that offers portfolio management, bloodstock services, pinhooking, and other related investments. Jeffrey is extremely passionate about race horses and their overall welfare both on and off the racetrack. In addition to his involvement with the TAA, he is also a 10-year board member of Ivey Ranch Park Association, a nonprofit organization that provides services for special needs children through therapeutic equine activities.
